Contacts & prospecting

Contacts

Collect, manage, segment and export the contacts captured through your ECARD touchpoints.

The Contacts section gathers everyone who has interacted with your ECARD touchpoints: profile-page forms, card scans, manual additions or imports. It's your centralized lead database.

Where contacts come from

  • Profile form — a visitor fills in the form on your profile page.
  • Card scan — you scan a paper business card (prospecting).
  • Manual add — you enter a contact by hand.
  • Import — you import a file (see Import).

Anatomy of a contact

Each contact holds: name, email, phone, job title, company, a note and its source (where it came from). The source helps you measure which channels generate the most leads.

Managing contacts

From the list, you can:

  1. Search and filter (by source, date, attributes).
  2. Open a contact to complete or correct its fields.
  3. Archive / restore or delete a contact.
  4. Act in bulk on several selected contacts.
  5. Export (file, API or CRM connector).

A screenshot of the list, with the filter bar and a bulk action, helps visualize these operations.

Segmentation

Use tags and groups to categorize your contacts and users — for example by trade show, campaign or sales priority.

Example: a trade show

At a booth, your team scans the business cards they receive (prospecting) and visitors fill in the form on your profile page. By the end of the day, all these leads are in Contacts, tagged "Trade show 2026", ready to be exported to your CRM.

Good to know

  • The source column distinguishes form, scan, manual add and import.
  • Duplicate emails are detected at import.
  • Exporting to a CRM or webhook may require the integrations module depending on your plan.
