Wallet

Create a wallet

Design a Wallet card template and assign it to your users.

Wallet templates are managed under Apple/Google Wallet. As with other ECARD assets, you create a template once, then assign it to as many people as you need.

Designing the template

  1. Open Apple/Google Wallet and create a template: the wallet editor opens.
  2. Choose the logo, the colors and the text fields (header, primary fields, secondary fields, and back-of-card fields).
  3. Choose the code type (QR by default) and the mode on scan.
  4. Save.

As with other templates, you can use variables ({{user.firstName}}, {{organization.name}}…) to personalize each card automatically.

Example: a header field set to {{organization.name}} and a primary field set to {{user.firstName}} {{user.lastName}} produces a card with the organization's identity and each user's name.

A screenshot of the wallet editor (card preview on the left, field settings on the right) helps you picture the result.

Assigning and rolling out

Assign the template to users, groups or tags. Each person concerned can then add their card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet:

  1. Open the link or scan the install QR from the phone.
  2. On iPhone, the card is added to Apple Wallet; on Android, to Google Wallet.
  3. The card then appears in the phone's Wallet app.

Automatic updates

When a user updates their information, or when you change the design, cards already installed update. A Campaign can also display a dynamic image on the card.

Good to know

  • The wallet's QR code is stable: you can change the mode without reissuing the card.
  • Wallet availability and some options depend on your plan. See Subscription.
  • To understand what happens on scan, see Modes & QR code.

Troubleshooting

  • The user can't add the card: open the link from the right device (iPhone → Apple Wallet, Android → Google Wallet) and the default browser.
  • A variable stays visible ({{user.firstName}}) on the card: the matching field is empty in the profile.
