Troubleshooting
NFC Cards
Resolve card scanning, activation and redirection issues.
My card does nothing when I hold it to the phone
- NFC must be enabled on the phone (Android: Settings → Connections → NFC; recent iPhones: NFC is automatic, hold the top of the phone near the card).
- Bring the card in slowly and hold it against the back of the phone for a few seconds.
- A thick or metal case can interfere with reading.
- As a last resort, scan the QR code on the back of the card with the camera — it opens the same destination.
Activation fails or I don't receive the link
- Check that you're entering the expected email (for a named card, it's the one linked to the profile).
- The form always returns a send confirmation (so it doesn't reveal who has an account): so check your spam folder.
- The activation link is valid for 24 h — if it has expired, start activation again.
See Activate a card.
The scan opens the wrong page (or an unexpected one)
The behavior depends on the card's mode:
- Profile → public profile page
- Link → custom URL
- vCard → contact file
- Default → the organization's default setting
Check the card's mode and URL under NFC Cards. If the card is in Default mode, the organization's setting applies. See the card modes.
The scan opens a "private profile" or unavailable page
The linked profile page may be set to Private visibility: it only opens through a recognized ECARD medium. Check the page visibility.
I lost my card
Mark it as lost under NFC Cards to disable redirections, then reactivate it if you find it again or order a new one. Your profile and contacts are unaffected. See Lost card.
Still stuck?
Contact support via the chat bubble, giving the card model, the phone used for the scan and the page you expected. Unsure about the vocabulary (mode, activation, named…)? See the glossary.
